Women in Business Succeeding
in the North East

There are many successful businesses within the north east of Adelaide. But according to BEC Tea Tree Gully Manager, Petrina Jude, there has been an increase of women starting and growing their businesses over the last few years. This has led to the establishment of North East Women. This is a program developed by the BEC Tea Tree Gully to provide networking, training and mentoring to all women in business to help them succeed.

One of these women is local business woman, Charyn Youngson. Charyn was recently chosen to be just one of many authors to contribute to an Inspired Spirit Publication, The Path To Success. This book has been compiled by International Speaker and award winning entrepreneur Sandy Forster.

Charyn is a fulltime real estate investor and property renovator. She established her business, Houses to Impress, in 2006 as a means to survive. She now runs a very successful business and passes on her knowledge to others through her “renovating for profit” course at the WEA. She is very passionate about helping people get the best possible price for their home when they sell and is working on another book looking at Makeover Tips and Tricks for Preparing your House for Sale.

Charyn’s 5 tips for surviving and succeeding in business are:
1. Be proactive and consult the best advisors you can afford
2. Personally commit to study, training and development
3. Be passionate about what you do
4. Network with like minded people who both inspire and support you
5. You don't have to get it right, You just have to get it going

Charyn has found that by being a member of the BEC it enabled her to get some valuable training, and to meet some very helpful people in business. “I have been exposed to some great advisors which enabled me to increase my knowledge in different areas ie marketing, internet and put those new ideas into practice.”
